Rebecca O’Sullivan, known as Bo, is a highly skilled and compassionate paediatric occupational therapist at Nurture Paediatrics. With a wealth of experience spanning over a decade, Bo is dedicated to supporting children and their families in achieving meaningful milestones and overcoming challenges in their daily lives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Therapy, AUT (2013)

  • Extensive experience across various specialties, working with individuals from premature infants to centenarians

  • Over five years focusing on paediatric occupational therapy in acute hospital settings and community environments

What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapy focuses on enabling people to participate in the activities (or "occupations") that are important to them. For children, this can mean anything from playing and eating to attending school and participating in sports. If a child faces difficulties with any of these activities due to illness, injury, developmental delays, or chronic conditions, an occupational therapist like Bo can help.

Bo’s Approach:
Bo prides herself on being a nonjudgmental, solution-focused therapist who takes the time to understand each child’s unique needs. She works collaboratively with families to find practical, personalised strategies that empower children to reach their potential.

Passion Areas:

  • Supporting children with daily activities like playing, eating, and school tasks

  • Helping children build independence and confidence

  • Providing tailored interventions for developmental challenges, illness, or injury

  • Advocating for the importance of play in children’s development

Outside of Work:
When she’s not supporting children and families, you’ll find Bo outdoors, whether she’s running long distances, climbing Mount Maunganui, or exploring the Kaimai Ranges. She’s an avid runner, regularly training for her next big event.

At Nurture Paediatrics, Bo brings her extensive experience, creative problem-solving skills, and warm, approachable demeanour to help children thrive in all aspects of their lives.
